Monument for a dead parrot began as a monument in search of a site; part of a process exploring how something becomes public and how a public is constituted around this. Following protracted negotiations over the course of two years with Lewisham Council, Southwark Council and Greenwich Council, Monument for a dead parrot is now permanently sited in the vicinity of the Maritime Museum, Greenwich, South East London.
